Michaelmas Fair
The May Fair or Michalemas fair is held at St Peter's every two years, and the most recent, on Saturday 11 May 2019, was a great success.

The May Fair brings together the whole community in a day of fun and celebration. The church is cleared of its pews and stalls selling antiques and bric-a-brac, much sought after clothes and books fill the inside of the building.

Outside and in the Parish Hall were all kinds of stalls and activities for children, including a visit from the city farm, the St Michael and All Angels Steel Band, as well as stalls selling fresh local produce, flowers and cakes, and delicious food for lunch. There were visits from the local police, from the local Fire Brigade with a Fire Engine for children to explore, live music, a wonderful auction and more.

The 2019 May Fair raised over £15,000 towards our Access Ramp appeal!

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the 2021 May Fair was unable to go ahead. We hope to hold the next one soon.
