CHANGES TO THE TIMING OF SUNDAY WORSHIP AT ST PETER’S
After a trial period of three months during which the Family Eucharist was held at 9.45 instead of 10 a.m. and the Sung Eucharist at 11.15 instead of 11 am, the PCC looked at reactions from the two congregations, and discussed their own impressions of the trial. They concluded that the Family Eucharist should move back to its original time of 10 am but that the Sung Eucharist should stay at 11.15. This gave an opportunity for the two congregations to meet each other, without the services overlapping but gave families more time to get ready for the service.
The new arrangements will not start immediately, as we have only one stipendiary priest in place at the moment. Current times will continue until Pentecost.
PCC MEETINGS
The first meeting of the new PCC will be on Thursday 29 May at 7 p.m. in the Committee Room (at the top of the stairs in the single storey extension on the Wilton St side of the church).
The PCC is again planning to have a retreat in Canterbury for PCC members, on 13 and 14 June.
