ST PETER’S EATON SQUARE

Music at St Peter’s

PROFESSIONAL CHOIR

St. Peter's Eaton Square is one of only a handful of London churches which maintains a professional mixed choir.

The singers are drawn almost exclusively from former scholars of Oxbridge choral foundations.

St. Peter's has long enjoyed an enviable reputation for a wide and varied repertoire which ranges from Ockeghem and Isaac to Poulenc, Messiaen and Martin.

VOLUNTARY CHOIR

"This lively, informal and diverse group enjoys singing good music ranging from Tallis to Taize. We sing at the St Peter’s Family Eucharist on most Sundays, and rehearse for an hour before and an hour after the service. As we learn new repertoire, we discuss the musical theory and vocal technique issues that arise from the music.

"Prospective new members are encouraged to telephone the Family Eucharist Organist and Choirmaster, Stephen Brown, on 07958 409 267, or to email him at Stephenxyz@aol.com.

They are advised that energy and enthusiasm are much more important than experience, and they are assured of a warm welcome."
