The worship of Almighty God is at the heart of our common life as a parish. Worship offers the possibility of a transforming encounter with God. We offer a number of different opportunities for worship, seeing these as partners, equal but different, in our offering of worship, and therefore in our mission.

Sundays
St Peter’s is a parish church in the catholic tradition of the Church of England. The Eucharist is celebrated three times nearly every Sunday morning.
At 8.15 am the service is according to the Book of Common Prayer 1662, with its beautiful and resonant language. There is no singing or music and the service ends before 9.00am.
At 10.00 am the Family Eucharist welcomes all ages to worship and includes them throughout. There are hymns and a voluntary choir, and the service follows the contemporary language version of Common Worship. The service ends by 10.50 am.
At 11.15 am the Sung Eucharist follows. It too uses the contemporary language version of Common Worship, but a setting of the Eucharist and a motet are sung by our professional choir.
On a few occasions each year the Family Eucharist and Sung Eucharist are replaced by a combined Parish Eucharist at 10.30 am. The dates of these special services are always publicized well in advance. |

Weekdays
Every weekday at St Peter’s begins and ends in prayer. Morning Prayer (Common Worship) is said at 7.30 am, and Evening Prayer at 5.00 pm.
The Eucharist is celebrated daily at 12.30 pm and on Wednesdays at 8.00 am. These midweek services never last more than thirty minutes each.
On Friday mornings in term-time the Eucharist is also celebrated at St Peter’s Eaton Square CE Primary School at 9.20 am.

Holy Days
